We needed some sunny love today and laughter is always good for the soul.
We will be out for a few days to a week due to the move. Think good travel thoughts for us.

I forgot to share my Millie tattoo with you over here.

The other dogs were to exhausted from the big party all night and all day. Edi could barely stay awake for this shot, but she was a big trooper and a bit fat treat didn’t hurt.
Happy Fat Tuesday everyone and stay tuned for a fabulous guest blogger who will be blogging here twice a month. Check out her blog because she is fabulous and so are her two dogs – Pickles and Cody Bear. She has also been the most amazing friend to me the last year and a half. She has helped me beyond words this last year with my grieving of Mille and all the Sally stuff. She is a most treasured friend to us. Tell her hello! and welcome her to the blog. hey! check out her photo website too.

Edi was a party animal… pardon her eye bags.

Happy Valentines Day!! – Love me and the mutts.

Well, the morning started out early for Sally. She had to be at the clinic by 8:30 to prep for surgery. She was so excited to go that she wouldn’t do anything but stand by the car and wait. So I dropped her off and she got to hang out with her peeps. She had an entourage of people petting her and swooning over her, but the thing they didn’t know is that when you stop she sounds like a gremlin. A very very loud gremlin. I think she plans these things, because this got Sally to hang up front with Theresa and she loves that. Theresa calls her the blueberry. So all morning sally got to say hello to visitors and dogs coming into the clinic. Can you even imagine how happy that made Sally. OMG! Does this girl LOVE people!

So anyways, Sally had 12 teeth removed. A lot of them had broken off and many had been infected. The mass was removed and sent off for biopsy and she had eight rads taken of her legs. She might now have a gastric ulcer from the metacam, so we have her on anti-ulcer medicine and took her off the metacam for 2 weeks. This ulcer thing is EXTREMELY scary so she has to be watched.
Dr. Howard the leg specialist will review her leg rads and give us a review, but it still looks like her bones aren’t healing and sadly, still… her legs are a mess. I worry about her spine because she is walking so off now and her front leg is still bowing out. But as discussed no more surgeries can help her legs, only to take the hardware out. I still get so upset at this situation and that surgeon, but we must move on and just do what we can now.

Luckily, Sally is such a happy girl. She was seeing pink elephants when I picked her up and still her little tail was waggling if anyone spoke to her. So this is a photo with Sally and her our most favorite vet, Dr. Sulis. I tear up thinking of leaving her, especially with sally having so many problems. I can only hope there will be good people in the desert ready to take us on. After our unfortunate situations I don’t trust people, so I am hoping the universe will show us the right vet and put good people in our path.

So this is Sally and me today. She is crashed and I am relieved for now. We now just have to wait and see what the leg specialist and biopsy say.
until then…
Sally and Phoebe are so adorable then they go outside and luckily it was sunny today and perfect for a little stroll in the yard. Sally went directly to the grass for a yummy snack and Phoebe followed me around. Such cute lil’ girls and I adore them so.
